Working with individuals while approaching psychotherapy as a collaborative process where my clients are equipped to face the challenges of life and gain a renewed hope and confidence in their abilities.
My goal is to help my clients recognize that they have the ability to overcome their obstacles while developing skills to enhance their lives and experience resiliency. I help clients move past the same cycles and habits that have discouraged them and prevented them from experiencing joy in their lives with the goal to move from surviving to thriving!
I have discovered there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to therapy because every person is unique with diverse needs. I believe therapy should encompass all facets of a person’s wholeness including mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health to encourage a holistic approach to self-awareness and healing. My approach is influenced by evidence-based models, with an emphasis in cognitive behavioral techniques, EMDR, and faith integration to help improve the personal effectiveness of therapy.
For many clients, knowing that their therapist understands how their worldview is shaped is important to their overall healing. I offer Christian counseling to clients that desire to incorporate the spiritual disciplines of their faith into their therapeutic process alongside modern behavioral science.
I strive to create a space where we dig deep but we come out the other side with humor, hope, and purpose. Therapy should be a rewarding experience where a client faces their giants but experiences victory while gaining skills and tools to navigate their lives with meaning and hope. My commitment to you is that no matter what your journey looks like, I will be right alongside you to help you get to the next stepping stone in a safe, encouraging, and fun environment!
I understand the courage it takes to step into an office with a therapist and share your life. One can wrestle with the questions, “Will this work, are they judging me, what will others think of me?”. I recognize what a vulnerable experience it is and make every effort to ensure that my clients feel understood. I do this by balanced listening, educating, skills development, and most importantly, taking into account what my client wants and making that our objective. No matter the life issue, it’s something that we can pursue working through together at your own pace.
If you are ready for change or curious about therapy and would like to learn more, I offer all clients a free consultation call to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
